 Valentines
Day is a day in America when people give expressions of how much
they care for others. Once a year this is done. There are some very
nice things said on this day. People say they love you. God in heaven says
it every day in so many ways. Every flower He has made is a Valentine card
saying He loves you. |
 A
smile, some flowers and a note of love are precious gifts of love to
others. Those who give the most love out to others are those who know of
God's love. |

  A
nice oak chair crumbled under my husband as he sat down. My husband
survived the event just fine but the chair didn't. The chair was really
beyond repair. This chair had been sat in for 11 different Valentine
Days while the one on it had a very nice meal with red plates on the table
and candles and flowers. Expressions of love were shared. This
chair was never recognized as important. It did not get special attention.
But that chair served silently and faithfully. That chair had been
used to hold our family and our guests while they ate all they needed.
It's now too weak to do it's work. |
  We
took the chair apart and my oldest son turned some of the wood from that
chair on his lathe till he turned out a real nice oak wood pen. This pen
can be used to write Bible promises to encourage others. The pen is
beautiful. I love it. Out of the broken chair came a useful hand carved
pen. God can take broken people and still do many great things with
them. He can make a cripple do fantastic things. He can take a blind
person and make music for the world to sing for many years (Fanny Crosby).
He can make special people if they just give Him a chance. He has so much
love for all of us no matter what has happened to us. |
 "Men's
necessity is God's opportunity." When something is broken, it is
God's opportunity to show what He can do with His love to fix things. We
will have what we need in every emergency if we put God first in our
lives. He promises that each day we can have strength for that day.

 The
pen from that same chair could also be used by someone to hurt others by
writing discouraging things or selfish things. The pens of the Bible
writers were used to help us. In the Bible are so many verses expressing
God's love for us. |
  God
has the deepest love of anyone in this whole world. He paints expressions
of His love to you in every flower. |
Every spire of grass, every opening bud and blooming flower, is a token of God's love, and should teach us a lesson of faith and trust in Him.

 The
best gift of love is that God can take people who have been deformed in
their characters by sin and make something beautiful out of them forever.
You were created not just for life on earth but forever to live happily
with Jesus. He who made the flowers is more beautiful and fun than the
flowers. Imagine skipping through
the water of life in heaven splashing huge sprays of water with YOUR
CREATOR WHO LOVES YOU. The light from God's throne can make rainbows
in those big sprays made by your feet as you skip along with God. |
  I
invite you to take some flowers to a lonely person who doesn't get
attention from others. Smile, and tell them God loves them. See how many
you can make happy. |
 God's Love Promises:
John 3:16 God loved us so much He gave His son. Whoever believes can have
youthful joy filled life for ever.
