This whole section of 87 + true stories of
miracles and prayer answers comes from my life. More are under stories in www.illustratedbible.com.
It is too much to put them all on here. (80+ more and very recent in 2002)
All are carefully
documented in my journals with pictures to keep the details fresh in the
memory of our family and friends. Some of my answers I cannot share yet
for it might embarrass someone. All tend to forget details. I always write
the story immediately and illustrate it. Then the document is the most
accurate.

God wants us to share answers to prayer with others. He wants us to share how He comforted us when we were sad, or afraid. Jesus can hear each one pray. Sometimes it helps to have more than one praying. Here is a promise of added power from heaven when more are praying. "Where two or three are gathered together in My name, there am I in the midst of them." Matthew 18:20. Before I tell you about our Blizzard Experience, I want to show you what I read that made me write up all my stories. As those who have spent their lives in the service of Christ draw near to the close of their earthly ministry, they will be impressed by the Holy Spirit to recount the experiences they have had in connection with the work of God. The record of His wonderful dealings with His people, of His great goodness in delivering them from trial, should be repeated to those newly come to the faith. God desires the old and tried laborers to stand in their place, doing their part to save men and women from being swept downward by the mighty current of evil, He desires them to keep the armor on till He bids them lay it down. {AA 574.1} I had so much fun writing up all my true stories. It made my faith increase as I saw how My Jesus has led all through my life. I love Him more now that I have done this review 20 times. We have nothing to fear for the future except we forget what He has done for us in the past. 3SM 162 |

Blizzard Experience |
Now, in 2003, these very children are using what they learned and are designing and filming programs. The nine year old is busy preparing and filming a large series of cooking for healthy kids, using our vegan recipes. Each recording is precious as you can see the hand of God in this. They are using what they have and dreaming of the day when our "BETHEL LOG CABIN" for filming will be finished. God is leading each step of the way. See their shows on illustratedbible.org. Each week we are adding as our son places their video clips up in a video streaming mode at different speeds. (a BIG CHALLENGE!) Our third son is using advanced 3d graphics for illustrations, and helping other artists in the world. These are all gifts from heaven for this ministry God has given us. God has rebuked the devourer for us. His is binding up Satan as He promises. We are just His earthen vessels that God's glory may be seen. He is coming soon my friends. Soon the earth will burn with fire. (Malachi 4) We only wish for a simple log cabin that God will in His time provide for these children already using what they have to serve the world. |
As
we drove through Idaho, Montana and Wyoming, we enjoyed the snow covered
mountains and drove through areas of minimal snow. At each gas fill up, we
found post cards to help all learn the state bird and capital of each
state we crossed. It gave the travelers something to do. |
![]() A
few flurries of snow and bad roads predicted on the 2nd morning of our
journey made us opt to go east instead of south. We soon hit the blizzard
and were told a road to take to outrun the blizzard by going south. We
went on down and stayed overnight east of Denver. |
The
next morning the snow had caught up and we hurried east. Finally the
freeway was blocked off by police at Oakly, Kansas. |
We
waited in a gas station for news with hundreds of other travelers. There
was no lodging available to us. I asked if another parallel road was on
the map. "Yes," they said, " but it is not advised."
I had to do something for we had a deadline to meet and waiting would only complicate things with more snow. How could I care for the 5 young people waiting out a storm for who knows how many days. Perhaps I could out run it. I prayed and headed down the road parallel to the freeway. Accidents were everywhere. |
Soon
the road could not even be seen. The wind whipped the snow sideways and
all I could see was white. I was creeping along at 15 miles an hour
wondering if I was really on the road. I prayed and God acted. A tunnel
was made for me to see. |
The
tunnel lasted for a good while and then it was like God wanted me to know
He had done it. White out again brought me to a stop. I just told the Lord
I needed His help again. Immediately the tunnel of clear space showed me
where the road was. This happened over and over. I began to get the point.
God wanted me to include Him and need Him in every step of the planning to
work for Him. Just as soon as I thought things were going so nicely, I
could not see again. I needed Him to open my vision of the road. I need
Him to open my spiritual eyes to see the narrow path and stay on it. I
need Him to help me see just how to do His work in the last days when
opposition gets even stronger. In Revelation 3:18 God invites us to
anoint our eyes with heaven's eye salve so we can see. If we could see our
works as Jesus does, and see all our words, the sight would be more than
we could bear. Satan sends his blizzards so we will get off the path to
heaven and stop sharing the light God has given each of us.
The blizzard was terrible and so dangerous. I prayed again and it was as if God blew like He did on the Red Sea for the Israelites and the way opened. I saw the road. I was so happy I was still on the road. An oncoming vehicle was inching along. Other vehicles at the side of the road had collided head on, others were in the ditch on their sides. All five children and youth in my vehicle were praying for God to help us. God had shown us it was His will that we go to this seminar. I praise Him for the blizzard for it showed us His power. I rejoice that He sent the blizzard to show Himself strong to us. I love Him more than ever now for His precious ways. It was a tremendous lesson of faith. Later we could see a snow plow was inching along in front of us. It was as if the Lord had hired a snow plow for us too. It was really piling up on the road several inches deep. |
As
we passed where the storm was and turned toward the freeway, we were so relieved
to leave the blizzard behind. Our faith had grown. God seemed nearer and
dearer than ever before. We prayed every hour of that long journey that
God would make sure we got the information He sent us for. |

Addendum
3ABN (3 Angels Broadcasting Network) had never before held one of these and no one knew totally what to expect. We enjoyed the tour of the buildings and hearing their story of God's call and their resulting steps of faith to what they are now. |
We
had seen the video of their story and were thrilled to see where the 3
phase power came in that God had provided years before they needed it. It
encouraged our faith that God would also help us do what HE had asked us
to do for children. God knows what He is
doing. He will direct us just like he has Danny and Linda.
God promises to raise up His boundary lines and no
one can get past God. (Is. 59:19) |
We
enjoyed visiting with Elder Ken Cox. He seemed pleased to know the impact
he had on our lives since his evangelistic meetings in Portland, Oregon in
1992. We told him how God had called me right after his meetings, in a dream three nights in a row to
share the gospel to the world. I was busy doctoring in Portland. I argued
at first till God reminded me of Jonah. I did not want the Jonah plunge. I
sold my business and followed God's call like Dr. Luke of Bible times.
I shared with Elder Cox how I had been called into jungles to do doctoring and preaching to thousands. I have never had so much joy in my life as when out of my comfort zone. I ask Jesus to help me keep in step with Him as He finishes up His work. He is soon to come in the clouds. God needs any willing person. He does not pick the qualified but qualifies those He chooses. God provided this opportunity to encourage us and help improve our work. Jesus has many many missionaries out working for Him in this final hour of earth's history. Soon in heaven, we will have the joy of sharing stories together and understanding the grander picture. When we were in danger of disaster and discouragement, God sent a dream to my young 8 year old son repeating His commission to me in picture he heard a voice. If you want to see that and read about it, this link will take you there on my other web site. 45 star |

prayer answers and why it's important:
Journal, Scrapbook Set the story to music |
I
praise His name for His faithfulness to me. When I am discouraged, this
record inspires me. The Lord urged me to also put the other categories
up for all to see how He has helped us; the tears He wiped
away, the pain He soothed, the anxieties removed, the blessings supplied.
Malachi 3:16 "Then they that feared the Lord spoke often one to another: and the Lord harkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before Him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon His name. vs. 17 And they shall be mine, says the Lord of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spares his own son that serves him. "Every deliverance, every blessing, that God in the past has granted to His people, should be kept fresh in memory's hall as a sure pledge of further and richer, increasing blessings that He will bestow. The Lord's blessings are adapted to the needs of His people. " MS 65, 1912; Manuscript by Ellen White |
Let us not cast away our confidence, but have firm assurance, firmer than ever before.
"Hitherto hath the Lord helped us," and He will help us to the end (1 Sam. 7:12).
Let us look to the monumental pillars, reminders of what the Lord has done to comfort us and to save us from the hand of the destroyer. Let us keep fresh in our memory all the tender mercies that God has shown us --the tears He has wiped away, the pains He has soothed, the anxieties removed, the fears dispelled, the wants supplied, the blessings bestowed--thus strengthening ourselves for all that is before us through the remainder of our pilgrimage. {CC 364.3}We cannot but look forward to new perplexities in the coming conflict, but we may look on what is past as well as on what is to come, and say, "Hitherto hath the Lord helped us." "As thy days, so shall thy strength be" (Deut. 33:25). The trial will not exceed the strength that shall be given us to bear it. Then let us take up our work just where we find it, believing that whatever may come, strength proportionate to the trial will be given. {CC 364.4} Conflict and Courage by Ellen White; also Steps to Christ, p. 125 |

Examples:Journal, pile of rocks or prayer answer set to music Oh, where, as a people, are our commemorative stones? Where are set up our monumental pillars carved with letters expressing the precious story of what God has done for us in our experience? Can we not, in view of the past, look on new trials and increased perplexities-- even afflictions, privations, and bereavements--and not be dismayed, but look upon the past and say, "'Hitherto hath the Lord helped us.' I will commit the keeping of my soul unto Him as unto a faithful Creator. He will keep that which I have committed to His trust against that day. 'As thy days, so shall thy strength be.'"-- Manuscript 22, 1889. {3SM 320.2} |

Imagine setting the prayer answer to music! God commanded Moses to do this. There is one example, that is the song of Moses Exodus 15. My friend has set this song to music for me. If you are interested, ask me for it. "The dealings of God with His people should be often repeated. ..He commanded Moses to frame these events into song, that parents might teach them to their children." Conflict and Courage p. 364 "Let us keep fresh in our memory all the tender mercies that God has shown us--The tears He has wiped away, the pains He has soothed, the anxieties removed, the fears dispelled, the wants supplied, the blessings bestowed-- thus strengthening ourselves for all that is before us" Conflict and Courage 364 "Hitherto Hath the Lord Helped us" "As thy days, so shall thy strength be" Deut. 33:25. "The trial will not exceed the strength that shall be given us to bear it." Conflict and Courage 364 O give thanks unto the Lord; call upon His name; make known His deeds among the people. Sing unto Him, sing Psalms unto Him; talk ye of all His wondrous works. Psalms 105:1,2 |
